Rhinoplasty in Istanbul

Reshaping the nose in balance with your face while protecting the way you breathe.

Who rhinoplasty is for

Rhinoplasty (nose surgery) is considered by people who feel their nose sits out of balance with the rest of their face (a prominent bridge, a drooping or wide tip, asymmetry after an injury) and by people whose nose shape also affects their breathing. For many patients it is both at once: the same structures that shape the nose also carry the airway.

Some patients come for a first operation. Others come for revision rhinoplasty: a nose operated on elsewhere that still does not look or breathe the way they hoped. Revision surgery is more delicate than a first operation and needs an especially careful, individual assessment.

Rhinoplasty is a personal decision, never an urgent one. A consultation does not commit you to surgery. It gives you an honest, expert picture of what is realistic for your nose.

Every plan starts with the examination.

What to expect at your first visit

Your first visit is a full examination, not a sales conversation. Dr. Teker examines the outside and the inside of your nose (the skin, the cartilage framework, the septum and the airways) and listens to what bothers you, in your own words.

You will talk openly about what can be achieved for your particular nose and face, and just as openly about what cannot. If your breathing is affected, the surgical plan addresses it in the same operation. You leave the consultation with a clear, personal plan and time to think it over.

How Dr. Teker approaches rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is the centre of Dr. Teker's surgical practice, and has been across a 25-year ENT career. That experience shapes a consistent approach:

  • Breathing first. As an ENT specialist, Dr. Teker treats the nose as a breathing organ that must also look right, never the reverse. Function is examined and protected in every plan.
  • Natural balance, not a template. The aim is a nose in quiet harmony with your face, not a shape carried from someone else's photograph.
  • One surgeon, start to finish. The examination, the plan, the operation and the follow-up are all performed by Dr. Teker personally.

Is rhinoplasty right for me?

Good candidates are in general good health, have realistic expectations, and are making the decision for themselves. If your main complaint is blocked breathing rather than appearance, the right operation may be septum surgery or a combined procedure. This is exactly what the first examination is for: finding which operation, if any, actually serves you.

Dr. Teker will tell you plainly if he believes surgery is not in your interest. A quarter-century of practice has one lesson at its centre: the right patient, the right plan, the right reasons.

Frequently asked questions

Will rhinoplasty change how I breathe?

It can, in either direction, which is why the airway is examined before any aesthetic planning. If a deviated septum or another structural issue is found, it is corrected in the same operation. Dr. Teker will explain what your examination shows and what it means for your breathing.

What is revision rhinoplasty?

Surgery on a nose that has been operated on before. Scar tissue and altered cartilage make it more demanding than a first operation, so the assessment is especially thorough. Bring any records of your previous surgery if you have them.

How long does recovery take?

It differs from person to person and depends on what your operation involves, so honest guidance can only follow your examination. Dr. Teker will walk you through the stages of healing personally and remains reachable throughout your recovery.

How do I prepare for the consultation?

Simply bring your questions, a list of any medications you take, and any records of previous nose surgery or treatments. No preparation beyond that is needed for the examination.
