Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. It is written to meet the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

What we collect

When you use the contact form we receive the details you type: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, country, the procedure you are interested in and your message. When you write on WhatsApp, your number and messages are processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms as well as by the clinic. What the website itself records is described in the next sections.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 only if you accept it in the cookie banner. Until you accept, no Google Analytics code is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_LYM6M57R6V (both kept for two years) to distinguish visitors and sessions, and the pages you view are reported to Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. We use the reports to see which pages are read and in which language; nothing you type into the form or on WhatsApp is sent to Google. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Your choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and is not sent anywhere.

Embedded content from other services

Some pages embed content from other services, which loads when the page opens: Instagram reels on the home page (from instagram.com, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) and a Google Maps map of the clinic on the home and contact pages (from google.com). When such an embed loads, your browser sends your IP address and browser details to that provider, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. YouTube videos are loaded from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA), which serves it from data centres around the world. Like any web server, Netlify records your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type in its server logs for security and operations, and keeps them for a limited period under its own privacy policy.

Why we use it

To answer your request, to give you a first assessment, and to plan a consultation or treatment if you decide to go ahead. Information about your health that you choose to share is used only for this purpose and only by Dr. Teker and clinic staff bound by medical confidentiality.

How we collect it and on what legal basis

We collect your data electronically, through this website’s contact form, WhatsApp, e-mail and telephone, and in person at the practice. Contact and request details are processed because they are necessary for the steps before a treatment agreement (KVKK Article 5(2)(c)) and for the practice’s legitimate interest in answering you (Article 5(2)(f)). Health information you choose to share is processed only with your explicit consent (Article 6(2)); the consent box under the form records it, and you can withdraw it at any time. Analytics run only with your consent (Article 5(1)). Once you become a patient, medical records are kept under the legal obligations that apply to medical care in Türkiye.

Where it is stored and for how long

Form submissions are received and stored by the website’s hosting provider (Netlify), where the clinic reads them; they stay stored until the clinic deletes them. WhatsApp messages and emails are kept by the clinic for as long as needed to handle your request and, if you become a patient, for the retention periods required by Turkish health regulations. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.

Who we share it with

No data is sold or used for advertising. Your data reaches only the providers needed to run the website and the clinic: Netlify (hosting and form storage), Google (analytics, if you accept it, and maps), Meta (Instagram embeds and WhatsApp), the clinic’s email provider and, if you have surgery, the hospital where the operation takes place. Some of these providers process data outside Türkiye and the European Union.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK you can: learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it; learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used in line with it; know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; ask for incomplete or incorrect data to be corrected; ask for it to be deleted or destroyed under Article 7; ask that corrections and deletions be notified to the recipients; object to a result that arises to your detriment from analysis by automated systems alone; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Send your request in writing to the address above or by e-mail to info@drcenkteker.com; the practice answers within thirty days. Under KVKK you may then apply to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority; under GDPR, to the supervisory authority in your country.
