What to send first
A first assessment needs only a few photographs and a short message. Send them on WhatsApp in any of the four consultation languages.
- Photos of your nose from the front, both sides and from below, in daylight, without make-up
- A few lines on what bothers you: shape, breathing, or both
- Any previous nose surgery, with the date if you know it
- Known health conditions, regular medication and allergies

How long to stay
Plan seven to eight days in Istanbul for rhinoplasty. Surgery is usually on the second day, you spend one night in hospital, and the splint and tapes come off around day seven, before you fly. Shorter procedures such as septoplasty or sinus surgery need less time; Dr. Teker will tell you exactly how long once your plan is agreed.
Languages
Dr. Teker consults in Turkish, English, Arabic and French. You speak to the surgeon, not through an intermediary.
Where
The clinic is in Bakırköy on the European side of Istanbul, on the airport side of the city and well connected by metro and taxi. Hotels for every budget are within a short ride.
Aftercare from home
Healing is followed by message and photographs at each milestone: two weeks, six weeks, three months and one year. If anything worries you in between, you write and get an answer.

The clinic holds the Ministry of Health International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate (no. ST-1827), which sets requirements for the facility, the staff and the way international patients are cared for.

Questions from abroad
How long do I need to stay in Istanbul?
Seven to eight days for rhinoplasty: consultation on arrival, surgery the next day, rest, splint removal around day seven, and the flight home the day after. Five to seven days for septoplasty or sinus surgery alone; about ten days for tonsil or palate surgery.
What should I send before I travel?
Photographs from five angles, a description of what bothers you, any breathing symptoms, details of previous nose surgery, and a list of medicines you take, especially blood thinners. Any earlier scans or operation notes are helpful.
Should I bring someone with me?
A companion is recommended for the first two or three days after surgery, when you will be tired and bruised. It is not a requirement.
How does follow-up work once I am home?
By message. You send photographs at agreed intervals, weekly at first and then monthly, and Dr. Teker reviews them and answers questions. If something needs to be seen locally, the clinic tells you what to ask for.
Is the clinic authorised to treat international patients?
Yes. The clinic holds the International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate issued by the Turkish Ministry of Health, shown on the About page.
